Grizzly Mouse Designs
I stumbled across the most adorable Instagram account with the sweetest shop owner a couple months ago and totally fell in love. Laura, owner of Grizzly Mouse Designs, runs the cutest shop of children's wooden toys and decor alongside her husband Tyler, and I instantly became obsessed upon seeing their designs. Reclaimed wood honeycomb shelves?? Blocks in the shape of mountains?! Living in Colorado and being married to a self-proclaimed mountain man who loves rustic pieces (yet he has one of the most corporate jobs ever, haha), Laura and Tyler's work immediately caught my eye.

Fall Catch-Up!
Last week was brutal. Yes -- sickness, AGAIN. After a whirlwind weekend flying to Minnesota to celebrate Jordan's dad's 60th birthday, Sydney came down with a nasty cold/cough that somehow turned into pink eye in both her eyes. Awesome. She made it to two half-days of daycare (which I'm fairly certain is how she nailed pink eye), so there was lots of crying/whining/cuddling going on last week. And cleaning. LOTS of cleaning and sterilizing and laundry.
Our trip to MN was short but so sweet. We flew in Friday night and immediately drove to a house Jordan's dad and his wife rented on a lake to meet them, Jordan's middle brother and our sister-in-law (who's due with our first nephew in a few weeks!!) and their sweet little girl (who is six months older than Syd) and Jordan's youngest brother (who just got a job out in Denver and moved out here!). It was a great weekend spending time with family and getting to spend much needed time with our niece, and it was so much fun seeing the girls play together. We went to an apple orchard, Sydney went on her first pony ride, we took the boat on the lake, and we (I) ate lots of s'mores.

The Honest Co
Truth #1: Jordan and I have never really cared about organic food, natural products or chemical-free cleaners. For those of you who know us, you're probably cracking up right now, and for those of you who don't, you're probably gasping in horror. ;-) Well, it's true. My husband is a machine; before dating him I legitimately kind of thought he was a robot (and still kind of do). He never gets hungover (ever. yes, seriously.), he never gets sick (and if he does, it's for a few hours at most), I've seen him blow his nose maybe five times in our life together ( . . . meanwhile I plow through a box of Kleenex every few days), and he ran his first marathon in under four hours w i t h o u t t r a i n i n g. No wonder he's never cared about organic or natural products; he's never needed to! But for me it was flat-out not caring slash staying blissfully ignorant to harmful chemicals.
Until we had Sydney. Sweet, baby, precious Sydney in all her wholesome clean goodness. I couldn't bear to put anything but organic this in her mouth and all-natural that on her body for the longest time (and even now I'll obviously still choose to give her the better, more health-conscious option) -- which is weird because I clearly have no problem eating a McDonald's hashbrown or Burger King Whopper. But once Sydney came, we just naturally started giving her organic and all-natural foods and products, and we slowly started adjusting our life as well. Enter The Honest Co.

Hello, Fall!
Wednesday was evidently the first day of fall (I wouldn't know as Denver has been a balmy 85-degrees and sunny), and although it makes me the most basic girl ever -- I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. (And I know; I'm over 30. Time to start calling myself a woman. I don't even get carded anymore, but that's a whole other topic...)
The weather, the clothes, the activities, the football, the holidays, the pumpkin spice everything -- it's all so good. Not to mention people's moods; is it just me or does fall kind of re-energize everyone and put them in a happier mood? Anyway, even though my house is barely decorated yet (I do have a marble pumpkin sitting on our coffee table, so I've got that going for me), I thought I would share a few of my fall 2015 must-haves...you know, because I'm such a trendsetter with my every day running pants and Fitbit.

Camping.
What is camping with two dogs and a toddler like? A walking three-ring circus.
I feel like people either love camping or hate camping. Living in Colorado you're surrounded by most people who love it, and usually I would consider myself one of them. Up until I went camping with two dogs and a toddler... Just kidding -- we had an amazing time. It was so great to be out in nature having bonfires, eating s'mores (sooo many s'mores), hiking, kicking back with cold beers, seeing incredible views, and of course viewing it all through a 20-month-old's eyes. Everything was blowing Sydney's mind, and it was really adorable to see.
Jordan picked out an easy spot for our first camping excursion as a family of five in a car campground called The Crags, which is located in the Colorado State Forest in Walden, CO (a little bit northwest of Estes Park), which sounded absolutely perfect. We heard about the beautiful views from the individual sites which allowed privacy, and we heard the hiking nearby was awesome. Sold.
