ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Sarah. I'm a wife to my hilarious and brilliant husband Jordan, a mama to our sweet baby girl Sydney and puppy-mama to our two fun-loving dogs, Max and Mya. Welcome to a little slice of our life . . .

Both originally from Minnesota, Jordan and I met through an awesome mutual friend who I've known since I was five years old and Jordan played college hockey with. Jordan and I became fast friends, sharing a love for the mountains (skiing for him, snowboarding for me), good beer, great friends and fun times, but it didn't go past a friendship because Jordan was moving to Denver for work and I was coincidentally moving to Breckenridge to snowboard. (And no, despite what Jordan says, I did not follow him---please.) I didn't think we would see each other very much given the mountains--literally--between us, but there were other plans in store and we wound up seeing each other practically every weekend. One thing led to another, and soon we started dating.

In early 2011, we moved in together in a huge loft in the Lodo area of Denver and had an awesome year experiencing everything downtown had to offer: living right next to Coors Field, we went to Rockies games, Broncos games, Avalanche games, beer festivals, food festivals, concerts, farmers markets, dive bars, classy bars, movies, plays, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, hip restaurants, and everything else in-between. We also grew our family of three to four by bringing home our sweet german shepherd Max in August 2011.

On February 10, 2012, Jordan proposed while we were skiing/snowboarding at Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and we were married that coming August of 2012 in Vail, CO. Our wedding was featured in Style Me Pretty (thanks to all our amazing vendors!) and can be found here. :) No, seriously -- our vendors were AWESOME. If anyone needs a photographer, invitation or florist recommendation, contact me and I'll set you up with some of the most talented people out there.

We bought our first house together in January of 2013, found out we were pregnant in May, and our sweet baby Sydney Belle was born at the end of January 2014. Those first four years together have been a complete whirlwind, but I wouldn't have had it any other way!

Because we live so far away from our families and friends, I thought I'd start documenting our life as we try our hands at parenting and boom -- my blog was born. Mostly about our attempts at parenting, a few recipes, style bits and pieces here and there, and some DIY projects and holiday crafts in-between. I hope you enjoy -- and thank you for stopping by!
