Sydney finally went #2 on the potty this morning, so cheers to the freaking weekend. We haven't officially started potty training yet, but it's right around the corner so any tips and/or suggestions are more than welcomed!

Anyway, happy Friday, friends! I have a fun giveaway I'm hosting on my Instagram with my pals over at Freshly Picked. Have you heard of them?? I'm sure you have, but if you haven't, you can read my first review of the moccasin line here.

Stage of Life

Back in college Thursdays were Thirsty Thursdays and the promise of fun weekend with no responsibilities. Eleven years later (holy shit) Thursdays now mean Grey's Anatomy and one more day until I have an extra set of hands that can catch Sydney. // Wait, has it really been over a decade since I was last in college? And yes, I still watch Grey's...you know you watch it too.

RIP Dr. McDreamy. And, evidently, my youth.

Disney World

Disney World. The Happiest Place on Earth. One of my all-time favorite places in the world, and something I've been most looking forward to doing ever since we found out we were pregnant. My mom is one of the biggest Disney fans I know, only to beat her was possibly her own mother, and I distinctly remember traveling to Disneyland and Disney World all the time as a kid and obviously loving it.

We decided to bring Sydney to Disney World for her second birthday, 1/3 because I was so anxious to introduce her to one of my most treasured past times, 1/3 because Disney in January has relatively lower attendance (if you know my husband, you know this is vital), and 1/3 because she could still fly for free if we booked the trip before her second birthday. Jordan had never been (to either Disney World or Disneyland) and I was so excited to introduce him to Mickey as well---although I can't say his enthusiasm matched mine. Being the Disney fanatic she is, my mom couldn't help but somehow manage to squeeze her, my dad and my brother along for the trip, but I didn't mind because---DISNEY!

I'm back!

Hiiii friends!

It's been a long time (okay, forever) since I've last blogged -- but there were some good reasons:
  1. I got a new blog name.
  2. And an updated look.
  3. McDonald's is now serving breakfast all day.
The third reason is not totally related and/or relevant, but hel-lo, #hashbrownsalldayeveryday.

So when my domain's expiration date suddenly crept up on me (evidently I did not have two more months like I had previously thought), I decided to make a switch and give myself a <virtual> facelift. When I first started blogging, it was originally created to keep our family and friends in Minnesota updated with our trials (and errors) of parenting. Over time my happy little blog grew into something a little bit more, as did our daughter, and so no longer did CO Baby Anderson make much sense. Okay, let me tell you -- thinking of a new blog name is HARD. Like, really hard. And with Anderson as your last name and Sarah as your first, your options are pretty limited. Like any good writer, I googled 'how to name your blog,' and every article told me to come up with a list of things I loved and was passionate about. My list consisted of Sydney, Jordan, rosé, Vanderpump Rules, coffee, dogs, Chipotle, mom life, white kitchens...I think you get the point. I then thought of what I wanted to write about - parenthood and mom life, style/fashion and being active/getting outdoors. Me, in a nutshell. And to be honest, my tagline should probably read "Mountains, New Balances and Nikes but sometimes maybe a pair of Louboutins, and #momlife," but I mean, alliteration, people.

Grizzly Mouse Designs

I stumbled across the most adorable Instagram account with the sweetest shop owner a couple months ago and totally fell in love. Laura, owner of Grizzly Mouse Designs, runs the cutest shop of children's wooden toys and decor alongside her husband Tyler, and I instantly became obsessed upon seeing their designs. Reclaimed wood honeycomb shelves?? Blocks in the shape of mountains?! Living in Colorado and being married to a self-proclaimed mountain man who loves rustic pieces (yet he has one of the most corporate jobs ever, haha), Laura and Tyler's work immediately caught my eye.
